The Customer section of Shopify will allow you to review the following.

  • Confirm if a customer has an account or accepts marketing emails
  • How long the customer has been registered with an account on the website
  • Last Order placed, Lifetime spent and the value of their average order
  • Their default address and any other addresses on file.
  • Edit their account email address or account name
  • Option to disable their account
  • Option to send them an email to reset their password if needed


Reviewing Customer Accounts


1. Locate the customer account by searching their First name and urname or their email address under the “Customers” section of Shopify.


2.If the customer has placed an order or created an account, you will be able be able to select from the list below to review the account section.


3. On the customer account page, you will see that we will be able to confirm if the customer has an account or if they accept marketing. You will have the option to reset the password or disable an account if needed. You will also find the length of time they have been a customer how many orders they have placed and other order details.


*The example above is for a customer who has an account on the site. Since they have an account, you will find the option to reset the password if requested. 



*The example above is for a customer who has purchased on the website, but their account section shows that they haven’t yet set up a account password. Since there is no account created, it will give us the option to send the customer an account invite. This option will generate an email that will request they create a new password.
